Pile driving growth: Moore Construction

Throughout the city’s rebuild, local family business Moore Construction has been specialising in pile driving and demand only continues to grow.

For more than 30 years, the operation has been based in the South Island and now employs a team of nearly 20, including engineers and quality surveyors.

Moore Construction’s Sam says the pile driving division is interesting work and they work with various methods. “We can supply and drive steel piles, timber piles, precast concrete piles, screw piles, sheet piling and bored piles.”

Another area Moore Construction works in is civil construction services, including bridges, pre-cast concrete and cast insitu. They also own a range of earthmoving equipment and associated gear for commercial earthworks projects.

While work in Christchurch has been keeping them busy, they’ve also been completing ongoing work on the Northern Motorway – and a contingent is undertaking projects in Queenstown.

Committed to a high standard of workmanship, the company is registered with LBP, Sitewise Green, and are members of CCNZ (Civil Contractors New Zealand).
