Going coastal for AgFest: Ruralco

West Coast’s AgFest is the silver lining to the cancellation of the Canterbury A&P Show, allowing agriculture businesses like rural co-operative Ruralco with greater opportunities to meet with farming folk.

Covid-19 saw the biennial event moved from its usual autumn date to Friday 13 and Saturday 14 November – dates which became available due to the cancellation of this year’s show.

Ruralco Group CEO Robert Sharkie says AgFest is an important way to connect with the West Coast farming community – as well as provide a welcome boost to the local economy.

“AgFest is an important way to connect with our West Coast farming community and to show that we are a serious option for them and their farming operations,” he says.

Robert encourages AgFest attendees to ask what Ruralco can do for them and their farms, and to keep an eye out for Ruralco’s special AgFest promotions.
