Christmas Style

Decorating for Christmas doesn’t just have to be about adorning your home. We have some clever ways to bring Christmas into your wardrobe. Whether subtle or celebratory, taking the Christmas spirit to the streets will bring cheer to one and all.

Metallics are this season’s fashion star. Harness this timely coincidence and exude celebration. Silvery blues, shimmery blush pinks, and lustrous lilacs are metallics at their most beautiful. Mimic decorative baubles and adorn in over-sized pearls. Put on a filigree snowflake pendant, crystal drop earrings, sparkly diamante hair slides, and a dress and heels in materials of ethereal fairy-like lustre.

Certain colour combinations are Christmas on a candy stick. Go bold with gold against anything red, or pair shiny silver upon beautiful blue. Try ultra violet – this hot-right-now hue will fall in love with anything metallic. A white satin belt cinching the waist of a white cotton shirt dress teams great with silver shoes. Last season’s star prints can even come out to shine.

Pick out this season’s florals of rich red blooms and green foliage. Cute cherry patterns on everything is vogue right now in Europe, but ironically a bowl of juicy cherries epitomises Christmas day to us. It’s the same with pretty strawberry prints. Vintage pinup style dresses often sport Christmasy patterns or red Polka dots. Think red and white gingham or elf-green anything – just search amongst Santa’s colour wheel.

Saying someone is dressed up like a Christmas tree is not normally a flattering compliment, but for the next few weeks, go for it – with bells on!
