It’s the beautiful, comfortable environment that makes Brides of Merivale so welcoming.
Adding to that, an exclusive range of beautiful wedding gowns and professional, friendly staff, makes this one of the most popular destinations for discerning brides-to-be.
Part of the excellent service Brides of Merivale offers is the couturiere that greets each bride at their first consultation. The consultant will follow through the whole process from the initial meeting, through to alterations, to achieve the perfect fit.
Owner Lisa Dermott says the best dresses are the ones that suit a bride’s personality and compliment her figure. “Once a bride has chosen her perfect dress, our professional couturieres fully fit and alter gowns in store,” Lisa says.
“We are seeing a lot of slim fit or soft, flowy dresses coming through at the moment. The lace trend is moving away from floral patterns towards geometric, elliptical sculptured styling. Another trend is for plain skirts and layering including colours and textures,” she says.
Brides of Merivale is an exclusive stockist of stunning gowns from French Collection, Watters, Peter Trends, Wendy Makin Couture, Caleche, and Jessica Bridal. Brides of Merivale also offers an exclusive made-to-measure service.
Consultation is by appointment only, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 03-337 0226.
Circling Barrington Gifts a few times is essential to see everything – the quirky, cute, surprising, interesting, unique and useful.
“I buy in what makes people smile and leave a little happier,” says owner Melissa Holland. “Gifts that’ll be talking points at birthday parties!”
She loves watching customers giggle over the locally made cards with witty sayings.
A local, Melissa reads her customers well. Those wanting renditions of loved pets were inspiration for her Infinity Prints, that she also wholesales with husband Matt.
Individualised 20 x 22cm artists’ watercolours are customised with bowties through to roses. Pearls on a boxer? Tiara on a pug? There’s cats in hats and caravans with clouds and more – it’s art at its most playful.
There’s amazing age-specific birthday items for 16 to 100-year-olds and great gifts for guys.
Parents can wheel pushchairs around the wide aisles, and layby and complimentary gift-wrapping is offered. Warning, there’s so much to choose from at Barrington Gifts in Barrington Mall.
It’s said we eat first with our eyes. They attract us to beautifully presented food and activate our taste buds. That’s the effect of the sumptuous display in the food cabinet at the Majestic Tea Bar, Barrington.
The Majestic Tea Bar is a premium café offering the very best to its customers – the best food, the best teas, the best coffee and the best hot chocolate – along with an ambience and decor that speaks of yesteryear, with its comfortable armchairs and unique crockery.
The ever-changing cabinet presentation is freshly made each day by the café’s three chefs who delight in being creative, devising treats to appeal to all tastes. But the cabinet is just a tempter to the full kitchen menu on offer. There are all day breakfast favourites from Eggs Benedict Royale, to Creamy Mushrooms and Omelettes, not forgetting the fluffy pancakes.
Lunch is a varied offering – anything from an open grilled sandwich or a carbonara or wedges. Then of course there are sweet treats, including signature cakes, slices and handcrafted chocolates.
“We love cooking,” says Head Chef Mark. “Our food is passion on a plate. It’s fresh and wholesome with a real homemade feel, as well as a new twist on some classic dishes. Every dish is made to order and for us only top quality in ingredients and presentation is good enough. We set ourselves high standards and put our heart and soul into everything we make.”
Located in the Barrington Mall, open seven days – with the kitchen menu available until 3pm daily.
